We offer the cheapest Aberdeen airport parking but you cannot randomly drop your car and walk to the terminal. Airport transfers are needed to get to the airport and these are not included in our parking fees. They must be arranged and paid for separately by you. We have partnered with Rainbow City Taxis to offer transfers, all you have to do is call them to order. Our website is clear and detailed, it should allow you to decide if our parking suits your needs.

ORGANISING AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Rainbow have provided several hundred airport transfers for our clients. The day before parking we will send you an SMS with their contact number and booking instructions, simply call them to have a taxi come get you. You should order your taxi in advance to avoid any unnecessary waiting. Daytime between 04:00 and 18:00 we suggest calling at least 15 minutes before pick up. Overnight between 18:00 and 04:00 we suggest calling at least 30 minutes before pick up. Please note a standard taxi seats only 4 passengers and there can be difficulty and extra cost ordering for 5+ passengers. Our service is ideal for solo travellers or small groups with light baggage but is less suited for a big family holiday with kids and lots of luggage.

COST OF AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Typical taxi fares (return) are around £20 to the Holiday Inn Express (a 3 min walk to the airport terminal) and around £30 to the Aberdeen airport terminal (front door 'drop off' area). Fares to the offshore heliports are around £15 CHC and Bristow, £20 NHV and £25 OHS. Overnight transfers between 20:00 and 08:00, at the weekend and on public holidays will cost a little extra.

VEHICLE HANDOVER BY APPOINTMENT

We are open by appointment only between 04:00 and 22:00 every day Monday to Sunday. We are not open for unannounced 'drive in' bookings and our site will remain closed if no bookings are scheduled. Our phones and internet will be offline overnight unless we have been informed of your flight delay and are waiting for you on an overstay charge basis.

changes to your schedule

We operate vehicle handover by appointment so it is important to arrive at or soon after your booked times. Our staff will be on site for vehicle handover only at your booked times so please do not arrive before scheduled otherwise you may have to wait for the gate to open. You must give 2 hours advance notice of any significant delays or changes to your schedule. This is best done by SMS or WhatsApp. Flights arriving a little after expected are not a problem but serious delays or known timing changes must be notified in advance. As this is often the case for returning offshore clients please update prior to departing the rig. It should not be difficult to keep communications open but if minimum 2 hours advance notice is not given there may be a significant wait for vehicle handover.

how to BOOK your PARKING

It is easy to book parking online but please note the following to avoid any issues. Bookings must be made at least 12 hours before parking arrival. Do not book using your flight times, you must select parking entry at least 2 hours prior to flight departure and parking exit at least 1 hour after flight landing. Please double check your dates and times before completing the booking. You must provide a mobile phone number and ensure it and your email address are correct as they are essential to allow communications. You must also give an airline or destination to help us track your movements (not applicable to offshore, just state CHC or suchlike). All bookings must be done online as it allows everything to be fully automated i.e. making payment, sending receipts, providing taxi information and cancelling bookings.

Please pay when booking

It is important to pay for your booking when prompted using our 'Stripe' payment processor, this is a few clicks into the booking process and is the last stage. If this is not done booking is not complete and it requires 15 minutes for us to engage with you to get payment and then manually send booking and transfer information. For this reason any booking not paid on the day will be automatically cancelled and you will be asked to rebook with online payment being made.

Minimum booking of 7 days

The minimum payment is for 7 days. You are welcome to book on this basis then contact us to amend your actual stay to a shorter period (even 1 day) but with the full 7 day payment remaining intact.

CANCELLING YOUR booking

A booking may be cancelled with a 100% refund if done 6 hours prior to your scheduled parking arrival time. Cancellations in the last 6 hours will receive a 50% refund. Not arriving by 1 hour after scheduled parking arrival will be deemed a 'no show' and your booking will be cancelled with no refund and the site may be closed if no other handovers are scheduled.

VEHICLE DROP OFF & GettiNG TO THE AIRPORT

Simply call Rainbow for a taxi to meet you at parkABZ when dropping off your vehicle. You can call them when leaving home, on your drive over or even the day before. If our taxi instructions are followed your time from parking entry to being on your way to the airport can be under 2 minutes. We will carefully valet park your vehicle and keep your keys until your return.

RETURNING FOR YOUR VEHICLE

Once landed back in Aberdeen again call Rainbow to come get you. There is also the option of taking any taxi available at the airport rank rather than calling and waiting for Rainbow. Again your time from our site entry to being on your way home is under 2 minutes.

COLLECTING YOUR VEHICLE LATE

Please book your parking exit at least 1 hour after scheduled flight arrival. We understand there can be airline issues and we may accommodate minor flight delays without incurring extra charges but any vehicle not uplifted within 2 hours of scheduled collection will initiate overstay charges (which may be reclaimable against the airline).

vehicle size restrictions

All vehicles including large cars, SUVs and even vans such as VW Transporters are fine. Anything longer than 5.5m such as a LWB van/camper or any vehicle pulling a trailer will require two spaces. There are no vehicle height restrictions.

OUR site security

Our site was purpose-built for commercial storage and is enclosed with steel palisade fencing. We are surrounded by busy industrial units, a working farm and several private residences. Staff are typically on site daily for handovers and often remain overnight with backup 24/7 monitoring performed by extensive CCTV recording, multiple alarm systems and external security patrols.

NOTE for ELECTRIC VEHICLES

We do not have electric vehicle (EV) charging points. Any EV must be parked with enough battery to drive out again even if several weeks later. We must also be given a physical key fob or key card to allow vehicle operation.
